I was getting brash, confident that my baseline had risen and I could experience a glimpse of normalcy that I hadn’t seen in a while.
I was reminded why I’m on disability during the night.
I was feeling bad yesterday as I was recovering from some muscles I pulled in a slip in the tub and mild spasms I had the day before. I slept most of the day away as my body attempted to heal itself.
The pain and discomfort made it difficult to sleep. Finally, I passed out at about 1 am. Some where around 1:40 am, I spasmed so hard it sat me up in bed and moved my arms into a bear hug.
Now, that I am awake, I see that I have stressed muscles in my arms, abdominal wall, lower back and my neck. I think I did something to my thighs, too, because they don’t feel right.
It is times like these that I realize why I need God. He shines a light that says this too will come to pass. It is another step in the journey.
In Christ,
