We are learning how to manage. Seat placement and exit strategy was a big deal. I think I have those two things done. I can sit up in the first row, by the choir. If I have to leave, I can exit right there, go out the doors by the flag poles and it a down-slope to my car in the circle.
We take two vehicles. When I start having symptoms, I leave before they generate a crisis.
Once I am in my car, I am fine. The cockpit remains the most comfortable existence for me. If I can drive, I go home. If not, I’m chillin’ in my car.
My wife and I executed this plan Sunday morning. I took a Zanaflex one-hour prior to service. This slowed the progression of symptoms. I was able to make it a little more than half-way through the service. For those of you familiar with the progression of mass proper, I made it to just prior to the Liturgy of the Eucharist, right after the sharing of the Peace.
I missed the Lord’s Supper, but I was able to attend a portion and see many I haven’t seen in a long time.
The after-effects were dramatic, but worth the agony to be in the Lord’s house. He continues to walk with me, where ever I may be. But, it was really nice to go visit him in his place and give him honor.
In Christ,
