My body has been on a 24\/7 tear for the last two weeks, and wasn’t doing well before that.\u00a0 Yesterday, was a good day.\u00a0 It was the first day that I felt I could do (and did) laundry.\u00a0 I walked only with non-skid socks.\u00a0 I had my ups and downs, but I didn’t take a nap.\u00a0 I was tired, but I didn’t want to take one.<\/p>\n
I was feeling slightly human for the first time in over two weeks.<\/p>\n
At the end of the day, as my muscles started to seize, once again, I turned to my wife and said, “It doesn’t matter what happens with my muscles now, I was given a gift of today, and it will happen again.”<\/p>\n
Many people live check-to-check.\u00a0 I live moment-to-moment.\u00a0 I don’t know when the moments are going to come again, so I max out what I can do in that particular moment.\u00a0 My maximum is greatly reduced from what it used to be.\u00a0 And, my ability level fluctuates wildly throughout the day. So, I never get to plan for what I can or cannot do.<\/p>\n
It doesn’t matter what today is.\u00a0 It will be as it is.\u00a0 It is a gift, and I will live in whatever moment is given me.<\/p>\n
Those in the IT realm that know me, have heard me curse track-pads.\u00a0 I just figured out why I have so many problems with them…. my finger spasms.\u00a0 I was playing Words with Friends and I can no-longer drag-and-drop with a track-pad.\u00a0 I must have been having small issues for the last five or so years (based on other bits and pieces of evidence.)\u00a0 My hatred of the track-pad was a casualty.<\/p>\n
