\"\"Well, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve had a spasm significant enough to pull my muscles and send me to tears in minutes.\u00a0 Wowza!\u00a0 This time, I had my cocktail ready.\u00a0 After enough of the meds had kicked in and I was somewhat able to move again…somewhat being a very subjective term there, I moved to my desk where I could play some music.<\/p>\n

Joplin and Hendrix were my choices.\u00a0 I grew a better understanding of life in the 60s and early 70s.\u00a0 The music was quite good.<\/p>\n

But, I get ahead of myself.\u00a0 I wasn’t feeling well all morning.\u00a0 However, this morning was different.\u00a0 I have season tickets to a local playhouse, of which, I only have made one play this year.\u00a0 Today was the final performance of the final play of the season.\u00a0 Needless to say, I really wanted to go.\u00a0 So, I ditched church and rested and tried to nurse my issues to try and make it to the mid-afternoon showing of the play.<\/p>\n

\"\"My wife came home from church and we had lunch before leaving for the play.\u00a0 Things started to go bad, quickly.\u00a0 I finished eating quickly.\u00a0 My wife decided to meet her mother at the play.\u00a0 Her mother is a season ticket holder, also, and she attends regularly with a group of friends.<\/p>\n

She left for the play.\u00a0 I went to bed and took part of the cocktail because of the rapid progression of symptoms.\u00a0 I was not resting long when the first spasm struck my neck.\u00a0 It was quite a surprise.\u00a0 I relaxed and snuggled my pillows, laying on my right side.<\/p>\n

I seemed to have drifted off because I had this feeling I was a left-handed hard-ball pitcher standing on the mound. I wound up and …. WHAM! spasm #2 hit.\u00a0 This one pulled my muscles in my shoulder carriage and arm so much that my daughter had to get me a bag of ice to stop the swelling.<\/p>\n

It is then, that I decided it was time to complete the triad and take the third and final pill of my cocktail.\u00a0 I took the Lortab, which I reserve for last.\u00a0 Lortab does nothing for the symptoms.\u00a0 Thus, I only take it when I cannot tolerate the pain.\u00a0 This was the time.<\/p>\n

Ms. Baclofen, Sir Zanaflex, Mlle Lortab and I sat down and enjoyed a relaxing A&W rootbeer over ice and some tunes from the 60s and 70s.<\/p>\n

Life is good.\u00a0 Now, to heal the recent injuries.<\/p>\n
