Normally, this would be an easy answer of “yes.”<\/p>\n
Monday, a thief came and violently robbed me.<\/p>\n
My wife and I went visit my mother.\u00a0 I was feeling incredibly well and I wanted to show her how well I was doing.\u00a0 I didn’t bring a cane, wheelchair anything.<\/p>\n
Less than an hour of visiting left me completely debilitated.\u00a0 I had to get my wife to help me get out of the chair and into the car, which she drove home.<\/p>\n
I went from 0 to 100 in no time flat.<\/p>\n
My self-confidence is gone.\u00a0 The event showed me why I was disabled.\u00a0 I am now scared to leave the house without a safety net.<\/p>\n
The soldier in me says power through.\u00a0 Courage is a person’s willingness to overcome his\/her fear.<\/p>\n
The human side of me wants so desperately to acknowledge that my arms and legs are on fire and that having a bad day is likely, throw in the towel and do nothing.<\/p>\n
I don’t know which side will win.\u00a0 I have an hour to figure out as I’m supposed to wake my wife to drive me in that time period.<\/p>\n
I’ve said before that this disease has many aspects to it.\u00a0 I just never thought it would be a thief.\u00a0 I hate thieves and liars.<\/p>\n
