Last evening, while my wonderful neighbor was visiting, the spasms returned.\u00a0 I was very embarrassed.\u00a0 I could not stay still.\u00a0 I needed to move.\u00a0 I couldn’t focus on her.\u00a0 The pain was growing.<\/p>\n
I ended up taking my nightly meds early.\u00a0 There is one med, Horizant, that is extremely effective in limiting the voracity of the spasms.\u00a0 For this, I am thankful.\u00a0 However, it doesn’t eliminate them.\u00a0 Sleep found it’s way into my life, thankfully.<\/p>\n
This morning, I feel like someone took a baseball bat to me.\u00a0 It must have been a hell of a night.\u00a0 I hurt all over. It is not extreme pain as it has been.\u00a0 This is only about level 5.\u00a0 Of particular focus is my right shoulder, and neck.\u00a0 I think my left foot is the only place that doesn’t really hurt.<\/p>\n
The pseudobobular affect<\/a> has introduced itself.\u00a0 As one of my doctors suggested, it is caused by the massacre that is my neurological system and the combination of sedatives I’m taking.\u00a0 As the Intrathecal Baclofen<\/a> is increased the other meds should be reduced and then the psedobobular affect will fade.<\/p>\n The way I read it, is not only do I not have control of my muscles, but my emotions are gone as well.\u00a0 Did I say “This Sucks” lately?<\/p>\n My life seems to be a huge catch 22.\u00a0 If I don’t take the meds, I writhe in pain.\u00a0 If I take the meds, I loose my mind.\u00a0 This is a slow process.\u00a0 It has taken 8 months to get to this point.\u00a0 I don’t truly know how many more months before we hit some sort of stasis.<\/p>\n My main concern today is to not give in to the pain in all my muscle groups (even my glutes, I mean really, what a pain in the a**!, LOL)<\/p>\n Edit:\u00a0 after about 2 hours of wakefulness, I succumbed.\u00a0 Pain is at level 6+ and on the increase.\u00a0 Hydrocodone taken.<\/p>\n Edit: My muscles are on fire!!! ugh!!!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Last evening, while my wonderful neighbor was visiting, the spasms returned.\u00a0 I was very embarrassed.\u00a0 I could not stay still.\u00a0 I needed to move.\u00a0 I couldn’t focus on her.\u00a0 The pain was growing.
